The CDC has finally put a dent in COVID with a single sweeping decision to define areas at “high-risk” of COVID by the number of hospitalizations and hospital occupancy, rather than number of cases, downgrading overnight the vast majority of counties nationwide from high to low/medium risk with associated laxities in mandated public health measures such as masking. | CDC 2022
