Check out the implementation of an experimental FLASH proton therapy system at UPenn. They designed the system to deliver essentially the same beam of protons at either  standard (0.5-1 Gy/s) or FLASH (60-100 Gy/s) dose rates to limit the number of potential variables. In line with prior studies, FLASH proton therapy did less damage to proliferating intestinal crypt cells while maintaining the same effect on tumor cells. | Diffenderfer, Int J Radiat Oncol Biol Phys 2020
