The newest guidelines recommend basically ignoring nodules <6 mm if ground-glass or in low-risk patients (i.e., without cancer diagnoses). On the other hand, nodules 6-8 mm should be followed over time at 6 to 12 month intervals and nodules >8 mm at 3 month intervals or with immediate PET or biopsy. | Anderson, JAMA 2018
