While radiation dose schemes for intact cervical cancer are well established, it can be challenging to decide upon the right dose for involved pelvic and para-aortic lymph nodes. This is especially true when using IMRT and a simultaneous integrated boost technique. Here’s a very helpful discussion of an expert approach to treating involved lymph nodes for intact cervical cancer. It includes a review of lymph node boost schemes from large prospective studies as well as the authors’ own methodical approach.
