Radiopharmaceuticals are en vogue, leaving many radiation oncologists wondering if they should take up the mantle. Unfortunately many currently don’t have the infrastructure and training in place to feel confident doing so. To address the latter, ASTRO has set forth guidelines on residency educational curricula for radiopharmaceuticals, including pertinent radiobiology / radiochemistry, physics, pharmacology and paired functional imaging aspects complete with several papers for recommended reading.
