Partial observers.

This NCDB analysis of nearly 20K women with high-risk early-stage endometrial adeno (read: any stage II or stage IB with either age 60+ or grade 3 disease) for whom some form of adjuvant radiation would be pretty universally recommended reveals half(!) did not receive it. Failure to receive radiation was associated with all the expected demographics, such as being non-White and/or living in a lower income area. Saddest of all, it was independently associated with worse survival—and while uncaptured confounders abound, we should all agree that these are the precise populations that should be receiving more medical attention, not less. | Luo, Gynecol Oncol 2021
