Tele-therapy.

ASTRO has provided a nice outline of how to approach billing under the current expanded telehealth regulations. For patients covered by CMS, there are three tiers: “telehealth” that requires video (can currently bill as high as a in-person visit), “virtual check-in” that is audio only, and “e-visit” that is portal messaging only. Private insurers, of course, are all over the place but links to individual policies are included. Finally, obtaining approval to bill virtual OTVs under the all-important 77427 is a work in progress. | ASTRO 2020
