The rate of GI adverse events with immune checkpoint inhibition, like with radiation, is significantly higher in patients with inflammatory bowel disease (i.e. Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis). This multicenter cohort study is one of the largest that specifically includes patients with a documented history of IBD. The overall rate of GI events was 41%, compared to 11% without IBD, and the rate of grade 3-4 GI toxicity with IBD was 21%. | Abu-Sbeih, J Clin Oncol 2020
