One of the biggest blockades to sweeping advancements in the treatment of soft tissue sarcoma is the fact that it’s such a grab bag of histologies and biologies. To help understand how individual tumors may respond to immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI), this group takes the over 50 histological subtypes and sorts them into only 5 immunologic subtypes (A-E), with class E demonstrating the best response rates and survival with ICI, distinguished based on its strong tumoral presence of B cells. | Petitprez, Nature 2020
