Patients with symptoms of radiation cystitis and an EPIC urinary score of < 80 after pelvic radiation were randomized to receive hyperbaric oxygen or standard treatment. Hyperbaric oxygen sessions were 80-90 minutes daily for 30-40 sessions. Sorry, no ultra-hypofractionated hyperbaric oxygen yet. Between 6 and 8 months after treatment, there was a significantly greater improvement in mean EPIC scores from 8 points with standard treatment to 18 points with hyperbaric oxygen. | Oscarsson, Lancet Oncol 2019
