Stroma strong.

Headline: Tumor stroma is an easy tell for platinum resistance. This small observational study prospectively reported the proportion of stroma present on a high-power view of ovarian cancer when tumor is extending to all edges of the field. Of 5 women who recurred within 6 months of platinum chemo, 4 (80%) had high tumor-stroma proportion (≥50% stromal cells). Conversely, of 19 women who did not experience early recurrence, only 5 (26%) had high tumor-stroma proportion.
