Transplanting risk.

This Canadian claims data demonstrates recipients of a solid organ transplant also receive nearly 7x the risk of developing a non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC) at a median of 4 years post-transplant. If patients were over age 50 or had white skin, one in four developed a NMSC within 10 years. And those with a pre-transplant history of NMSC should probably tack on a skin transplant because otherwise they had a two in three chance of developing another NMSC within 10 years. | Park, JAMA Dermatol 2019
