Practices learned in residency often stay with us long into our career. Over-testing and treating helps training physicians quickly sift through a long differential. Because, hey, the bill doesn’t come to them...but a grade might come soon enough. This op-ed describes how personalized reports can help physicians learn how they stack up against their peers on breadth of tests ordered.
