Because there’s nothing coming at you that you cannot handle as a first-year attending. Here’s some much needed advice for all the newbie rad onc attendings out there including: be a “yes, and”-man, recognize you can’t function on an island (even when placed on one), keep an open mind when it comes to new nursing and equipment norms, always go to the machine immediately when paged, consider yourself a PGY-6 in chart conference, maximize efficient productivity by understanding coding, and for goodness sake ask dosimetry to contour normal structures. | Samuels, Appl Radiat Oncol 2019
