This Dutch retrospective study demonstrates remarkable rates of overall survival among over 200 cancer patients treated with lung stereotactic body radiation (SBRT) for oligomets defined as ≤5 mets in ≤ 2 organs: 63% were alive at 2 years and 30% at 5(!) years. Those with even higher rates of survival had oligomets at time of cancer diagnosis (HR 0.56), colorectal primaries (HR 0.62), and tumors <3 cm (HR 0.68). | Sharma, Acta Oncol 2018
