Nondisclosure.

The White House isn’t the only one embracing nondisclosures. A lit review evaluated publications of the 10 physicians receiving the highest compensations from each of the 10 largest medical device companies in 2015. Unsurprisingly, 88 of these Fortune 100 physicians were males with a median annual payment of $100K. In 2016, the Fortune 100 wrote 245 pubs relevant to their compensation but only disclosed conflicts of interest in 84—or little over a third. | Ziai, JAMA Surg 2018
