Mutation compilations.

MSKCC loves ‘em. Another prospective study of germline testing, this one for 254 patients with stage III-IV renal cell carcinoma (RCC), demonstrates that 6% had RCC-associated germline mutations. Another 11% harbored other germline mutations, most commonly in CHEK2, which was not previously known to be associated with RCC. The rate of germline mutations among non-clear cell histologies was one in five, half of these able to guide therapy. | Carlo, JAMA Oncol 2018
