President Trump handed this to terminally ill patients and their physicians Wednesday when he signed into law a “right to try” bill that’s been in the works for years, making it legal to ask any drug manufacturer for any drug meeting basic safety standards (think phase 1 trial) for any indication as long as the recipient is dying and has “exhausted” other options.
