Double Xpresso.

Israeli researchers decided they wanted to combine global knowledge on the immune system because...why not? Rather than chug double espressos every night for the next thousand millennia, they instead employed the computer algorithm immuneXpresso to survey all of PubMed. As in, all 16 million published articles. With the click of a button, it read and synthesized all published data available on cytokines. And by read, we mean read—sentence structure, syntax and directionality of findings. It successfully identified novel cell-cytokine interactions that were later verified by the researchers (because they had to contribute somehow). | Kveler, Nat Biotechnol 2018
