In case you haven’t heard, x-ray treatment for cardiac arrhythmias is gaining momentum. In this case report, a patient requiring intubation for incessant ventricular tachycardia was successfully ablated using 25 Gy in a single fraction with an RTOG conformity index of 1.24. Electrophysiology defined the target in the interventricular septum, and the ICD leads were used as convenient fiducial markers. The patient was extubated three days later and miraculously remained V-tach free for 4 happy months. Only thing left is to determine just where SBRT should fall in the ACLS algorithm. | Jumeau, Radiat Oncol 2018
