The saline-ient points.

Earlier this week we discussed risks associated with absent double-D receptor proteins. Now we bring you a discussion on risks associated with choosing to flat-out become a double-D. An analysis of a large Dutch database confirms a higher risk of breast anaplastic large-cell lymphoma (ALCL) among patients with breast implants. As those who see the glass half empty would put it, if you have ALCL, your odds of having a breast implant are 422x greater than if you had another breast lymphoma--conveying a clear link between implants and ALCL. But as those whose glasses are always half full would point out, if you have a breast implant, your odds of remaining breast ALCL-free are almost 7000 to 1.
