Expecting.

The last thing young cancer patients are expecting to learn is that their life-saving treatments will kill their future chances of childbearing. This week’s BMJ article declares that each year only a few hundred of the few thousand females eligible for pretreatment fertility interventions in the UK actually receive them. Expecting success with the treatment of young cancer patients calls for expecting, and more importantly preempting, future fertility problems.
