PD-L1 inhibitors and PARP inhibitors—one of these is having the best year ever. In the ECOG-ACRIN 2511 trial, the addition of the PARP inhibitor veliparib to chemo for extensive stage small cell lung cancer produced a “signal of efficacy,” particularly among men with elevated LDH.
